All standard Quadrats are 500 mm x 500 mm made from heavy gauge steel wire and either plastic coated at high temperatures to strengthen the welds, or zinc plated silver passivated to protect the wire and make the quadrat highly visible. These styles were introduced by EFE in 1976. JUNE 08 - price increases. Large increases in steel prices has meant we will have to strictly adhere to minimum numbers. As we can not absorb the increases for long we give notice that Quadrat prices will increase in August.
Q1
- Frame Quadrat
Open, shiny zinc plated and passivated
Price Excluding VAT: £6.77 - Minimum order 5 This new version of Q1 makes the quadrat more resistant to ultra violet light and removes the risk of shrinkage of the plastic from corners which occurs when a quadrat is thrown on to hard surfaces. Plastic coated ones are now only available to order.
Q2
- 25 Square Grid Quadrat
subdivided into 25 squares. Ideal for dense vegetation or sites with lower numbers of species. white plastic coating. Price Excluding VAT: £7.96- Minimum order 5
Q3
- 100 Square Grid Quadrat
Subdivided into 100 squares for easy percentage cover calculations or presence and absence. Red and white plastic coating. Because of the amount of wire and welds involved this quadrat is not exactly 500 x 500 external. Price Excluding VAT: £8.82 - Minimum order 5
